Mike Carroll, a 1975 University of Minnesota
graduate, started his funeral career at the Evans Nordby Funeral Chapel in Brooklyn Center
and Osseo, MN. In 1981 after working for several years
at the Henry W. Anderson Mortuary in south Minneapolis, Mike and business partner
Dan Rinden purchased the Olson Chapel and Swanson Chapel from Orrin and Aileen Olson.
Shortly after moving to the Rush City/Pine
City areas, Mike became involved in the health care needs of the communities. He served as a board member and chairperson
of the Rush City Hospital Board, Fairview Lakes Regional Medical Center Board and most recently the Fairview Health System
Board. Mike has also been an active member of the Chisago County Hospice Board and Rush City Commercial Club. Mike currently sits on the Unity Bank, Rush City Chamber of Commerce, Green
Acres Country Care Center
and the First Evangelical Lutheran Church Boards.
Mike has three adult children;
Tom (Lilly) Carroll of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Erin (Jason) Oare of Rush City and Britta Carroll of Eagan,
Minnesota. His small amount of free time is
spent working around home, cooking, gardening, Minnesota Twins baseball games and traveling.

Myrna Hanson ~ Office Coordinator |

Myrna Hanson, a Rush City resident, has worked for both the
Olson and Swanson funeral Chapels since November of 1986. Prior to that she worked for the Rush City School System,
the Rush City Baptist Church, and Dr. Brown's office at the Rush City Clinic.
In her free time, Myrna enjoys to read, sew and knit.
She is a member of the Red Hatters, active with the Chisago
County Extension committee and 4-H, and a Volunteer at the Rush City FoodShelf.
Myrna enjoys spending time with her three Daughters and can
be found at many differnt activities involving her six wonderful grandchildren.
