Burial Vaults

A burial vault is a lined and sealed outer receptacle that houses the casket. It protects the casket from the weight of the earth and heavy maintenance equipment that will pass over the grave. It also helps resist water and preserves the beauty of the cemetery or memorial park by preventing the ground from settling.

In most areas of the country, state or local laws do not require that you buy a container to surround the casket in the grave.  However, many cemeteries ask that you have such a container so that the grave will not sink in.  Either a grave liner or a burial vault will satisfy these requirements.

Brown-Wilbert Vaults

Vault Company Charges
All vaults have a Vault Company delivery/Installation Charge which ranges from $197.00(weekday) prior to 4pm; $227.00 (Saturday); 347.00(Sunday & Holidays).  We reserve the right to charge a fuel surcharge.
Overtime Charges- an overtime charge of $25.00 for each 1/2 hour or portion thereof, will be made for funerals reaching cemetery after 4pm or for those that arrive more than 30 minutes later then the scheduled time.
