Kenneth A. Hastings
Kenneth Alan Hastings was born to Ira
and Lucille (Albrecht) Hastings at Oak Park, Illinois on March 1, 1941. He died October 7, 2008 at the Kanabec Hospital at
Mora, Minnesota, having reached the age of 67 years.
At age 5, he moved with his family to White Bear, Minnesota where
he attended Saint Mary of the Lake School. When he was 18, he became a member of the United States Army. He received an honorable
discharge in May of 1960 and was transferred to the Army Reserve.
On October 14, 1983, Kenneth was united in marriage
Lynne Farrell. He was a loving father to a blended family.
In his spare time Kenneth loved to fish, play cribbage,
golf, and spend time with his family and friends. He was a good husband, a good son, and a good friend to many. He will be
greatly missed by those who knew him.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Lynne; his children Thomas Hastings, Delores
Hastings, Steve Hastings, all of Florida, Richard & Bridget Hastings of Forest Lake, MN, Brandie & Michael Alaspa
of Mounds View, MN, and Hollie Harkness of Wyoming, MN; several grandchildren; his mother: Lucille Hastings, of Hutchinson,
MN; sister: Cathie & Alvin Otto of Stewart, MN; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. He was preceded in
death by his father, Ira Hastings.
A memorial service was celebrated Friday, October 10, 2008 officiated by Pastor Lyn
Sahr at the Swanson Chapel in Pine City, Minnesota.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Funeral and Cremation Service,
Swanson Chapel, Pine City, Minnesota.
