Lawrence William Pettman died October 8, 2008 at
the St. Therese Home in New Hope, MN. at the age of 94.
Larry was a life long resident of Mpls and a long time employee
of Electric Machinery. He loved learning, playing the harmonica, and singing. He married Dorothea Vandenbos June 24 1939.
When Dorothea was two, her mother died just days following the birth of her brother Willard. The infant Willard was adopted
by her aunt and uncle; Carl & Anna Sommer of Rush City therefore Dorothea spent some time growing up in the Rush City
and Moose Lake areas. In 1945, Lawrence and Dorothea purchased a home on 33rd and Washington Ave. No. in Mpls. to raise
a family. Larry Pettman is survived by his children Richard (Karen) Pettman of Coon Rapids, Paul Pettman of Mpls, Elisabeth
(John) Ellgen of Golden Valley, grandchildren Kim, Michael (Marci) Pettman, Jonathan, Matthew and David Ellgen, great grandchildren
Bradley
and Hannah Pettman, brother John (Virginia) Pettman and many nieces and nephews.
Larry was preceded
in death by wife Dorothea (Vandenbos) Pettman in 2004 and his brothers James and Eugene.

Cemetery next to his wife Dorthea.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18 @ St. John’s
Lutheran Cemetery at Rush Lake; Meet at the Olson Chapel; 115 west fourth St. Rush City, MN. at 1:30 p.m.
