Wayne McKee of Moose Lake, passed away at Sophie’s Manor of Pine City on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at the age of 76. Wayne LeRoy McKee was born on February 6, 1940 to Vernon and Mayme (Forshee) McKee in Moose Lake, Minnesota. Wayne was a family farm boy helping his parents on their farm. He graduated from Moose Lake High School in 1960 and enlisted in the Air Force from 1960-1964 when he was honorably discharged. While Wayne was in the Air Force he met and married Rebe Hill. They had two sons Richard and Rodney and then divorced in 1977. Wayne is survived by his sons Richard “Rick” McKee (Pat Swift) and Rodney McKee all of Grasston, grandchildren Chadric, Timothy, Cody, Emily, Rachel and Dylan McKee, siblings Dale McKee of Washington, Bill (Louise) McKee, Jack McKee, Marion (Bob) Sadler of Oak Lake, Jerry (Loreen) McKee and Danny (Cricket) McKee all of Colorado. He is preceded in death by his parents Vernon and Mayme McKee, former wife Reba Alina (Hill) McKee, great-grandson Timothy McKee Jr., brother Bob McKee, sister Leona McKee. Nathan Anderson will officiate funeral services for Wayne; 11:00 AM Saturday, May 21, 2016 at the Oak Lake Lutheran Church in Kerrick, Minnesota with a time of visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Military honors provided by Carlton VFW Post #2962 and the Minnesota National Guard. The interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Moose Lake.
