Jay Kevin Jahnz

Jay Jahnz passed away as the result of an airplane accident Sunday, May 8, 2016 in Rush City at the age of 58. Jay Kevin Jahnz was born on March 8, 1958 to Harley and Shirley (Johnson) Jahnz in Glenco, Minnesota. Jay is survived by Dawn Sorgdrager; his sons Jayson (Shannon) Jahnz of Pine City, Jed (Kari) Jahnz of Pine City, Branden (Sama) Berchem of Vadnais Heights, daughter Brianna (Nick) Luger of Hugo, 6 grandchildren, brothers Brent (Kathy) Jahnz and Scott (Chris) Jahnz, sister Julie (Gary) Gahler all of Pine City, extended family Paul Sorgdrager of Isanti, Megan Sorgdrager of Pennsylvania, many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Harley Jahnz and Shirley Jahnz. Reverend Fred Hanson will officiate services for Jay: 11:00 AM Friday, May 13, 2016 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Pine City. A time of visitation is planned for Thursday evening 4-8 PM at the Swanson Funeral Chapel in Pine City and also one hour prior to the services at the church.
