James Gerard Buttgereit of Cambridge passed away Friday, March 31, 2017 at the University of Minnesota Hospital at the age of 53.James was born to Robert M. and Dorothy (Havecker) Buttgereit on September 25, 1963 in Manhasset, New York.James is survived by his daughters Danielle and Georgia Buttgereit of Cambridge; mother Dorothy E. Buttgereit of Carle Place, New York; brothers: Michael (Margorie) Buttgereit of Westbury, New York, Robert (Doreen) Buttgereit of Montclair, Virginia and William (Kim) Buttgereit of Holly Ridge, North Carolina; many other relatives and friends.A time of visitation for family and friends will take place 4:00-9:00 p.m. Thursday, April 6, 2017 at the Swanson Funeral Chapel, Pine City, Minnesota.  The family has planned a visitation for 2-5:00 p.m. and 7-9:00 p.m Monday, April 10, 2017 at the Cassidy Funeral Home in Mineola, New York and a Funeral Mass 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Our Lady of Hope Church in Carle Place, New York.
