Linda Mae Lindstrom

March 13, 1953 — January 6, 2010

Linda Mae Lindstrom was born to Aldo and Emma (Allen) Lindstrom; March 13, 1953 in Rush City, MN. The second of four children, Linda attended schools in Rush City and graduated from Rush City High School in 1971. She attended Moorhead State, Bemidji State and earned a B.A. degree from St. Cloud State College. Linda began her teaching career at Chisago Lakes School District as a Special Education teacher. She took a leave of absence from teaching to travel and found a job teaching in Palm Springs, Cal for a short time. Returning to Minnesota, Linda took a learning disability teacher position at Plymouth Creek School in Wayzata, MN. which was her final career position. Linda was a dedicated, understanding, fair and loving individual who extended her life to many students, friends and family. She enjoyed a passion to travel; traveling with friends to exciting cities and countries. Her traveling stimulated a desire to obtain a motorcycle license and the purchase of her own Harley-Davidson bike which she drove solo to California and just last summer to Sturgis, South Dakota. Linda Lindstrom was called home by the Lord, January 6, 2010 at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN. after a courageous battle with cancer. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Preceding Linda in death is her father Aldo Lindstrom. She is survived by her mother Emma Lindstrom of Pine City, MN., her brothers Gordon Lindstrom of Pine City, MN., Larry (Susan) Lindstrom of Minnetonka, MN., Leroy Lindstrom of Pine City, MN., and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and many friends. Rev. Vicki VanderVegt will officiate at memorial services; 2 P.M. Tuesday (Jan 12, 2010) with a time of visitation one hour prior at the Olson Chapel in Rush City, MN. Inurnment will be in the Free Mission Cemetery northeast of Rush City.
