Alice Ann Peterson

Alice Peterson, age 57, of North Branch died Friday, July 12, 2019 after a long battle with cancer.

Alice Ann Burgeson was born February 19, 1962 to John and Dolores (Nettleton) Burgeson in Saint Paul, Minnesota. She was the youngest of four children and grew up in Naperville, IL and Forest Lake. In 1980, she graduated from Minnehaha Academy and in 1984 from St. Cloud State University with a Business Degree. On December 5, 1987 Alice married Jim Peterson. They were married for 31 ½ years and had four sons.

Over the years Alice worked in several customer service and management positions, most recently in the real estate appraisal business with First American. In 2018, she retired from working for health reasons.

Alice was very creative and enjoyed scrap-booking with friends. She was always willing to help friends with projects and creative endeavors. Alice loved being a mom and was always very involved in all of their activities from school to sports to music. She was always willing to volunteer for organizations that supported the boys.

Alice is survived by her husband Jim Peterson; sons Matt, Andrew, Danny and Sam Peterson all of North Branch; mother Dolores “Dodie” Burgeson; sister Gail (Mark) Miller all of Columbus, IN; brothers David (Pam) Burgeson of Elwood, IL and Philip (Audra) Burgeson of North Branch; sister-in-law Valerie Peterson (John Thomsen) of Rush City; many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father John Burgeson.

Pastor Mike Haseltine will officiate at funeral services for Alice: 11 AM; Saturday (7/20/19) at Maranatha Assembly of God in Forest Lake. A time for family and friends to gather is planned from 5-8 PM Friday (7/19/19) at the Olson Funeral Chapel and also one hour prior to the service at the church.
