Amy Sue Ramstad

Sep 20, 1963 — Nov 2, 2026

Pine City

Amy Sue Ramstad of Braham left this life on Monday, November 2, 2026 at the Villas of New Brighton at the age of 63.

Amy Sue Diedrich was born on September 20, 1963 in Saint Paul, Minnesota. She was the second child of Robert Sr. and Betty (Fick) Diedrich. For much of her life, she resided in Braham, graduating from Braham Schools in 1982.

Shortly after, she married her first husband, Dennis Siltman. Together, they welcomed her first child, Korey, in 1985. She completed her Associates Degree in nursing and LNP license, allowing her to pursue her passion for caring for others, which she did so fiercely.

In 2002, she remarried to Michael Ramstad and gained a daughter, Ariel, and second son, Allen. She continued to care for others throughout her life, working as a nurse, group home attendant, and a paraprofessional and substitute for Rush City Schools. This work inspired her to pursue a degree in education with plans of becoming a teacher. Though this goal was not officially realized, she nevertheless managed to impart many important lessons on those around her.

Amy is survived by her husband of 24 years, Michael Ramstad of Pine City; children Korey Siltman of Clark, South Dakota, Ariel (Joseph) Krahn of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Allen (Emma) Ramstad of Pine City; grandchildren Juniper, Tobias, Elias, Adeline; brother Rob (Laura) Diedrich of Rush City; nieces and nephews Devin (Jacob) Diedrich-Johnson, Hunter Diedrich, Brock Diedrich, Kayla Diedrich, Lukas Diedrich, Dylan (Marissa) Ramstad, Tegan (Ryan) Costello, and Devon (Liv) Ramstad.

More than that, she is survived by the numerous adoptive siblings, children, and grandchildren she would proudly claim as family. The life of Amy Ramstad would best be described by the word Bold. She never did anything part way; never held her tongue. Whether she was cheering for you on the court, your academic or career pursuits, or just life in general, you could always hear her voice above the rest. She loved fiercely, taking in all of those in need of support. Whether that was a fellow human, a furry critter, or a feather bare, one legged chicken, all were welcomed. And yes, at times this meant chaos. But it was a beautiful chaos. One that all of us who remain behind will proudly carry forward into our own lives in honor of her and the bold life she lived.

As we say our farewells, we know she has been lovingly welcomed home by those who have gone before her, including her parents Robert Sr. and Betty Diedrich; and older brother Daniel Diedrich.
