Arnold Branchaud of Pine City passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis at the age of 78.

Arnold "Arnie" Duane Branchaud was born April 29, 1939 to Homer and Gladys (Clemens) Branchaud in St. Paul, Minnesota. He was baptized and confirmed at Faith Lutheran Church. He attended Mechanic Arts High School and later was united in marriage to JoAnn Dokka. Together they had one son, Ronald Branchaud. Arnie later moved and resided in South St. Paul where he lived for many years.

He had fun traveling to Wisconsin Dells, Maine, Niagara Falls, South Padres Island, Canada and many day trip adventures. He loved spending time at “The Ranch” in Leakey, Texas. Arnie's most favorite place through the years was at his cabin, in the screened porch, on Lake Pokegama where he would sit and watch the water, boats, birds, squirrels, and the everyday activities of the neighborhood. He loved waiting for company so he could share his stories of days gone by. He loved his many pets including Jimmy, Trixie, and little April next door. He loved everyone and felt blessed everyday. He will be dearly missed by his friends and family.

Arnold is survived by his son Ron Branchaud of Pine City; brothers Robert (Linda) Gilland of California, William (Nancy) Gilland of Hudson, Wisconsin; sisters Sandy (Pat) Dignan of Forest Lake, Bonnie (Roy) Knutson of Stacy; nieces, nephews and many friends.
