It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Austin Daniel McNeally, who left us too soon on September 2, 2026, at the age of 35. Born on September 18, 1990, in Forest Lake, Minnesota.
Austin lived his life with a genuine heart and a hands-on spirit. He was happiest when he was out in nature, seeking adventure in the great outdoors. A natural problem-solver, Austin also loved tinkering on anything he could get his hands on, finding true joy in taking things apart, figuring out how they worked, and bringing them back to life in his own unique way. He threw his whole heart into his passions, and his creativity and resourcefulness were admired by all who knew him.
He is survived by his parents, Thomas and Heidi McNeally; his siblings, Ashley (Steve) Young and Aron McNeally; grandpa Dallas (Vickie) Humphrey and his beloved nieces and nephews, Ricky, Henry, Charles, Oaklynn, Lainey and his buddy Steve "the dog." He is also survived by a large circle of extended family and deeply devoted friends.
A service to honor and celebrate Austin’s life will be held 11:00 am Friday, September 11, 2026, at the Olson Funeral Chapel of Rush City with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
A luncheon will immediately follow the service at the Rock Creek City Center to continue sharing memories and celebrating Austin's life.
