Brenda Marlene Lundblad

Brenda Marlene Lundblad of Rush City passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at the age of 73.

Brenda Marlene Barnes was born December 26, 1950 to Lewis and Mary (Lane) Barnes in Bethalto, Illinois.

Brenda worked at McDonald's and was the first female to close while working the night shift. She also worked as a candy striper at a nursing home and then went to Bible college in Minnesota.

Brenda decided to go to the Minnesota State Fair on the last night and that is where she met her future husband of 53 years.

Brenda also worked as a waitress and then she went back to school and became an LPN. She worked in many local nursing homes and hospitals. She also worked with an orthopedic doctor and a veterinarian.

Brenda is survived by her husband Tim Lundblad of Rush City; children Kenny (Angie) Lundblad of Forest Lake, Bethany (Matt) Kozel of North Branch; grandchildren Jake, Avery, Eva, Eli; brother Neil O'Sagum of Alton, IL; sister-in-law Janice Larson of Corpus Christi, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lewis Barnes and Mary Flannery; sister Karen Taylor.
