Carl David Huston, Jr.

Carl David Huston Jr. of Pine City passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at the University of Minnesota Hospital in Minneapolis at the age of 75 with his family was by his side, comforting and praying, it was very peaceful.

Carl was born January 26,1951 in Stillwater and lived there until moving to Rush City. He was the 5th child of Carl and Margaret Huston. He went to Rush City schools, and graduated in 1969. Carl was best known for his love of music and classic cars.

Carl was a collector of model muscle cars and read a lot. He kept a lot of the books and listed them by the author. This collection took up at least four book cases in his room. He loved gadgets, he would arm chair shop the junk magazines, then be extra excited getting the mail.

Carl is survived by his wife Judy Allen Huston of Pine City; daughter Terri (Pat) Bursaw of Pine City; step-daughter Jess Nelson of Rush City; grandchildren: Hannah, Dalton, Alexandra, Sam, Toni, Nick, Lucas; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings David (Colleen) Huston of Stillwater, Jane Swanson of Rush City, Cheryl Reynolds of Hutchinson, Laura Kost of North Branch, Scott Huston of Rush City; sister-in-law Patricia Allen of Milaca; brothers-in-law Roger (Sandy) Allen of East Rock Creek, Clarence (Darla) Allen of Sturgeon Lake; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; former wife Brenda Huston; son David Huston; granddaughter Jamie; brothers Tom (Cindy) Huston and Pete Huston; brothers-in-law Merle Swanson, Gary Reynolds, Dwight Allen, Vida Mae Allen, Jan (Terry) Smuder, Larry Allen and Steve Allen.

Funeral services for Carl will be: 11 AM Saturday, June 20, 2026 with a time for family and friends to gather from 4-7 PM on Friday (6/19/26) and also one hour prior to the service all at the Olson Funeral Chapel in Rush City. Refreshments will follow at the Rushseba Town Hall. The interment will take place at a later date.
