Connie Ostlund, formerly of Pine City, passed away Monday, July 13, 2026, at her home in Hugo, Minnesota. Constance Joan Samuelson was born December 10, 1947, to Clair and Joanne (Baker) Samuelson in Rush City, Minnesota.

Connie worked for Federal Cartridge for several years. She attended drafting school and later worked as a draftsman and engraver at 3M before starting her own business, Constance Ostlund’s Overload Drafting & Design. She had a talent for decorating and enjoyed remodeling her home in Centerville. She also studied advertising graphics for four years at Brown Institute, where she was consistently named to the dean’s list.

Connie was a very colorful woman from the vibrant dresses she wore to the jewelry she collected, often she would incorporate her jewelry into her artwork. Not only did she have a passion for creating artwork, she enjoyed meeting local artists and collecting their art as well. She collected beautiful antique furniture, figurines, cooking magazines and recipes. Many times, you could find her in her kitchen trying out new recipes. She also had a great love for her cat, Bonita. Connie was a very intelligent, strong, and independent woman, she had a strong faith and relationship with God.

She is survived by her sons Troy (Holly) Willert of Nisswa and Travis Willert of Pine City; grandchildren Seth Willert, Ashley Provo, Rikkeena Willert, Levi Willert, Destynnee Willert; other relatives and friends.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents Clair & Joanne Samuelson; brother Ronnie Samuelson; granddaughter Sarah Willert.

Pastor John Stiles officiated at a Graveside Service for Connie: 11 AM; Thursday, July 16, 2026 at Birchwood Cemetery.
