Dallas "Dally" Ever Madison

Dallas “Dally” Madison a lifelong resident of Pine City passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Lakeside Health & Rehab at the age of 88.

Dallas Ever Madison was born May 18, 1931 to Ever and Florence (Mills) Madison in Pine City, Minnesota.

Dallas married Alyce Mae Johnson, his high school sweetheart on February 9, 1952.  They lived and worked on the family farm east of Pine City and had been married for 58 years when Alyce Mae passed away in 2010.

Dallas served in the Army National Guard for ten years while farming and raising his family.  After his service in the Guard, he worked for Gresser Construction in the Twin Cities as a 49’er while continuing to farm.  Those who knew Dallas knew of his proclivity for whistling. His squad members dubbed him “the Whistler”. 

Dallas is survived by his children Mark (Laurie) Madison of Pine City, Brad (Michelle) Madison of Spokane, Washington, Pam (John) Thiry and Paul (Lindsay) Madison all of Boise, Idaho; 18 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother Dean (Margaret) Madison of Pine City; special friend and companion Lorraine Thompson of Willow River; many other relatives and friends.

Dallas is preceded in death by his parents Ever and Florence Madison; wife Alyce Mae Madison; brother Merlin (Myrna) Madison; sister June (Merlyn) Howard.

Pastor Alvin Luedke will officiate funeral services for Dallas: 1 PM; Saturday (6/15/19) at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Pine City.  A time of visitation and reviewal is planned from 4-7 PM Friday (6/14/19) at the Swanson Chapel and also one hour prior to the service at the church.  The interment will take place in Birchwood Cemetery, Pine City.
