Delores A. Rogers

Delores A. Rogers passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at the Augustana Care Center in Moose Lake at the age of 98.Delores A. Brandt was born June 27, 1918 to Edward and Hannah (Voigt) Brandt in Henderson, Minnesota.   Delores lived and worked on the family farm in Henderson until 1939.  In 1939, she moved to St. Paul, Minnesota and worked at Swift & Company.  On June 1, 1940 Delores married William Rogers and they made their home in South St. Paul.  William and Delores had 3 children; Karen, Melvin and Corinne. She worked at Riverview Hospital and at Honeywell for 20 years, retiring from Honeywell in 1981.  The family moved to Pine City in 1975 from Inver Grove Heights.  In 1986, the family moved again to Rush City for 2 years and then to Sandstone for 3 years, returning to Pine City in 1998.  William passed away in November 2000 and Delores remained in Pine City.Delores is survived by her son Mel (Pam) Rogers of Sturgeon Lake; daughter Corinne (Chuck) Orsborn of Juneau; Alaska, grandchildren Cheryl (Tad) Wicklander, Diane (Richard) Willet, Tammy Steele, Kelly Huff, Terry (Val) Rogers, Tina Swanson, Tracie Vobeda, Lori Martinson, Amy Menz, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.She is preceded in death by her parents Edward and Hannah Brandt; husband of 60+ years Bill Rogers; daughter Karen (Paul) Schmidt; grandson Steve Rogers; siblings: Raymond, Art, Leonard and Edward Brandt and Rose Greenbush.Reverend Fred Hanson will officiate services for Delores:  2:00 PM Monday May 22nd at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Pine City.  Visitation and reviewal is planned for one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will take place in the Birchwood Cemetery, Pine City.Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the: Funeral and Cremation Service of Pine City - Swanson Chapel.  www.FuneralAndCremationService.com
