Pine City

Gary Ralph Boldt of Pine City passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 15, 2026 at the age of 72. He was a kid at heart, a kind and giving soul, and had a sense of humor that left a lasting impression on anyone he met.

Born on December 26, 1953 to Ralph and Helen (Stenger) Boldt, he grew up in Roseville, Minnesota. He met his wife briefly when they were young and she was visiting from Duluth to see her family. Their paths crossed again in 1979 and they have been together ever since. It was something that can only be described as fate. Gary worked at 7 Corners Printing from 1971 – 2015. He was the most loyal employee a company could ask for.

Gary and Suzanne raised their three children in Circle Pines, MN. They moved to Pine City in 2019 where they found a new chapter of life filled with happiness, friendship, and wonderful memories.

In his younger days, Gary had a definite need for speed. He loved snowmobiles, partaking in demolition derbys, and speeding around in his 1969 Chevelle. After moving to Pine City, his idea of a good time shifted a bit. The snowmobiles and muscle cars turned into pontoon rides and cruising in his golf cart, trading the horsepower for a slower pace. He spent his last years spending time with family, taking the pontoon down the Snake River, enjoying the beauty of nature from his porch, the chirping of the birds that he would spend a fortune feeding, watering the vegetable and flower gardens that he and Suzanne planted year after year, fishing, smoking meats, and taking his golf cart for a spin to visit his friends of Maple Shores.

Those who knew Gary can attest to his good-nature, his loyalty, and his big heart. He was a devoted and hardworking husband and dad. His family and friends knew he would always be there if they needed him. He perfected the Minnesota goodbye, was the life of party, and could always be counted on for a good laugh.

Above all, Gary loved and valued his family. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 46 years, Suzanne; daughters Nicole (Darren) Eisenzimmer of Lino Lakes, Lianna Boldt (Joel Thorstad) of North Branch, and Jessica (Andy) Beane of Stacy; grandchildren Kyla, Ray, Ella, Jack, Natalie, Autumn and Chace; as well as his great-grandson Leo; and three grand-dogs Ralphie, Roxy and Teddy. Each and every one of them loved seeing Grandpa Gary. To know Gary was to love him. He will be deeply missed by many.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Helen Boldt; and sister Shirley (Lester) Johnson.

A Celebration of Life for Gary will be planned at a later date.
