Gordon "Gordy" Aldo Lindstrom

August 10, 1951 — August 28, 2018

Gordon “Gordy” Aldo Lindstrom went home to be with his Lord and Savior on August 28, 2018. Gordy was 67 years old. Gordon Aldo Lindstrom was born August 10, 1951 to Aldo and Emma (Allen) Lindstrom in Rush City, Minnesota.

Gordy attended Rush City High School, where he excelled in his studies and graduated in 1970.

Gordy grew up on a dairy farm and was no stranger to hard work. Gordy was a long time employee of Land O’ Lakes and Kemp’s. Gordy enjoyed farm life and the purchase of his own farm, where he grew crops and raised cows for market. Gordy was the oldest of 4 children. He was viewed as a patriarchal figure to his younger siblings, especially his youngest brother Leroy, who in large part also viewed Gordy as a father figure. Gordy lived a conscientious, conservative and private life. He was content with whatever life had to offer. He was also a man of his own mind. Family was indeed important to Gordy and this also included his myriad of close friends. His love for family was exemplified by the care and devotion he gave to his parents. Gordy also provided nurturance and guidance to his younger siblings and a template for the creation of a strong foundation for good character, hard work and always being available to help others.

Gordy displayed his love and commitment to his friends by his absolute loyalty and availability to help them whenever they were in need. Gordy also had a steadfast companion, his dog Tommy.

Gordy is survived by his brothers, Larry (Sue) Lindstrom of Palm Coast, Florida and Leroy (Charlesetta) Lindstrom of Golden Valley, Minnesota; nieces Elizabeth (Vathana “Nu”) Maniphanh and Shannon (Bill) Rambo; nephews John Lindstrom, Anders Lindstrom and Shawn Vaughn; and a host of other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Aldo and Emma Lindstrom; sister Linda Lindstrom.

There is no question, lives will be impacted and mourn our loss. Indeed, those who truly knew Gordy and all of his wonderful acts of kindness and generosity are well aware he has transcended into Heaven.
