Jennifer Marie Cook

Jennifer Cook of Pine City passed away surrounded by family and friends, at the age of 43 from health complications on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at the University of Minnesota Hospital in Minneapolis.

Jennifer Marie Yourczek was born December 22, 1982 to Dennis and June (Underhill) Yourczek in Virginia, Minnesota.

Jennifer (Jen) was an amazing wife, daughter, friend, and animal lover who had an open heart and kind smile to everyone who knew her. Jen’s family and friends from school, work and the community knew she had a very big heart.

Jen loved all of the Father’s 4-legged creatures, especially her own “fur babies”. They were her children… from her Corgi Oliver to her precious cat Mew (Phebe) who will miss her dearly.

For many years, Jen was the “face” of the Pharmacy at the Pine City Walmart. Daily she would greet any and all with a smile, kind heart, and a “spunky” attitude. Her Walmart co-workers truly knew her “spunk” and laughter.

Jennifer is survived by her loving husband Calvin Cook and her “babies” Oliver and Mew, all of Pine City; father and stepmother Dennis and Nell Yourczek of Virginia; along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was proceeded in death by her mother June (Underhill) Yourczek; grandparents Donald and Nancy (Salo) Underhill, Gerald and Blanche Yourczek; and dog Dooder.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a donation to your local humane society, as animals were Jen’s biggest passion.

Services for Jen: 3:00 PM; Saturday, February 28, 2026, with a time for visitation one hour prior to the service, all at the Swanson Funeral Chapel of Pine City.
