At 10 years old John started his first job at Klandes Resort where Cliff took him ice fishing for the first time, which sparked a lifelong passion. He also worked at the Stop and Shop.

John was part of the 49ers for 17 years and retired at 52, he then worked various side jobs with Elmer cleaning. John raised 4 beautiful children that he loved dearly. He never missed a moment to brag about his kids and grand kids. One of his favorite parts in retirement was when Jake opened Fedder Motors in 2012. John had so much pride selling and helping manage move all the cars to various places.

John had many hobbies that included ice fishing, deer hunting, wood working, brick work, sand blasting and playing cribbage with his Dad. One of his last projects that he took so much pride in was when him and Sue renovated Sue’s home, which happened to be the original home that John grew up in.
