Karen Alice Blake, was called to be home with her Heavenly Father and earthly Father and Mother on Father’s Day, June 15, 2025, after a long battle with cancer.
Karen was born in Minneapolis to Ward E. Blake, Jr and Ethel A. (Sigurdsen) Blake on March 8, 1957. She moved with her family to suburban Henriette in 1960 and graduated from Pine City High School in 1975.
Karen is survived by her sister Katherine (Tim) Panula of Farmington and her brother Dan (Joanne) Blake of Pine City; nieces Kristen (Bryan) Gerber of Farmington and Jennifer Panula of Antioch, Tennessee; nephews Nathan Panula of Superior, Wisconsin, Andrew (Ashley) Blake of Chisago City, John Blake (Hannah Heimer) of Steven’s Point, Wisconsin, Ryan Blake and Matthew Blake of Pine City; great nieces Grace Gerber and Lucy Gerber. Karen is also survived by her good friend Bob Anderson of Cambridge.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Ward E. Blake, Jr. and Ethel A. Blake.
Pastor Greg Anderson will officiate funeral services for Karen: 11 AM; Friday (7/11) at Swanson Funeral Chapel in Pine City with one-hour of visitation prior to the service. Karen will be interred in the Henriette Cemetery.
