Kenneth R. Nordin of Pine City passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024 at the age of 87.

He was born Kenneth Raymond Nordin on October 15, 1936 to John and Olga Nordin in Crosby, Minnesota. He was the youngest of nine children.

Kenneth served in the Army in the mid 1950’s. In his younger years, Kenneth enjoyed many outdoor activities. He also enjoyed singing old hymns and country western songs.

He married Carol (Ramsey) Nordin who passed away in 1991.  He later married Bonnie Sandin, but they divorced shortly thereafter.

Kenneth is survived by sisters Violet Kuschel, Harriet (George) Bjork; children Kim (Darryl) Gunther, Eugene Nordin, Kari (Paul) Kramer, Lori (Tim) Romer, Julie (Ron) Erdahl; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and many other relatives.

He is preceded in death by his parents John and Olga Nordin; first wife Carol Nordin; siblings infant Nordin, Glen, Verna, Marvin, Vivian, Irene.

May his soul rest in peace in the arms of his loving and merciful Savior, Jesus Christ.

Funeral arrangements for Kenneth: 11 AM; Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at the Swanson Funeral Chapel of Pine City.  A time of visitation and reviewal will take place one hour prior to the service.

Interment will take place at a later date at Fort Snelling.
