Leland "Lee" Puttbrese of Rush City passed away Sunday, April 28, 2024 at the age of 73.

He was born Leland Russell Puttbrese on September 13, 1950 to Russell and Muriel (Mitchell) Puttbrese in Wabasha, Minnesota.

Lee joined the service and served in the Merchant Marines from 1970-1972.

Lee is survived by his daughters Jenny (Rob) Patton of Red Wing and Jaime (Jesse) Hennen of Hinckley; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters Diane (Gary) Taxdahl of Amery, Wisconsin, Debbie Sjoquist of Red Wing; and Jeannie Colgrove of Montana; other friends and relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents Russell and Muriel Puttbrese; and sister Mary Puttbrese.

Lee's interment will take place on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 10:30 AM in Assembly Area 6 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis.
