Leone was a member of the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and Joy Circle for many years.  Throughout the years Leone painted several pictures for the church, including the Christmas Angels and Mary and Joseph.  During her lifetime, Leone has painted over 200 paintings.

Leone and Howard were married 68 years and together they were involved in many activities in the church and the community.  They enjoyed traveling; traveling to to many different countries and wintered in Rockport, Texas for 18 years.
