Marlene Iris Rosalie Marohn

Marlene Marohn of Rush City passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, January 22, 2023 at the age of 84.

Marlene Iris Rosalie Fischer was born May 22, 1938 to Anthony and Esther (Shilling) Fischer in Marathon City, Wisconsin.

On May 9, 1958, Marlene was united in marriage to Gerald Marohn. Their marriage was blessed with 8 wonderful children. Marlene and Jerry made their permanent residence in Rush City.

Marlene is survived by her loving children Jerry Marohn of Chisago City, Richard (Brenda) Marohn of Sunrise, Teresa (Ted) Feela of Grasston, Roger Marohn of Rush City, Joel Marohn of Braham, Brian (Callie) Marohn of Braham, Renee Chute of Grantsburg, WI., Tyler (Carrie) Marohn of Clouquet; grandchildren Kortnie, Karissa, Richie, DeJay, Travis, Nick, Dani, Colton, Bryce, Brian, Jessica, Gavin, Dylan, Cody, Britany; great-grandchildren David John, Madisson, Mason, Andrea, Kaylee, Emberlee, Emma, Kate, Easton, Tarin, Tucker, Madelyn, Gracie Mae, Lilah; great-great-grandchildren Bodden, Braxton, Addelyn; brothers Herman (Sharon) White Jr., Harold (Linda) White, Melvin White, Anthony "Butch" (Sandy) White; sisters Mary Lou (Douglas) Swanson, Jean "Muffett" (Dennis) Miron, Joyce Hischer, Ilene (Roger) Else.

She was preceded in death by her father Anthony Fischer; mother Esther (Herman) Fischer White; husband Jerry Marohn; grandsons Korey Marohn, Gannon Marohn; great-grandson Austin LeMon; sisters Donna "Mutzie" Wenell, Janet Swenson; brother Vernon Fischer; brother-in-law DeWaine Hischer; sister-in-law Carolyn White.

Reverend Dr. Vicki VanderVegt will officiate at funeral services for Marlene: 11 AM; Friday, January 27, 2023 at the Olson Funeral Chapel in Rush City.  A time of visitation and reviewal is planned for one hour prior to the service.  The interment will take place in the Free Mission Cemetery, Rush City.
