Marty Lou Lee

Marty Lou (Nordahl) Lee of Ellenton, Florida passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 in Sun City Center, FL at the age of 79.

Marty Lou Nordahl was born on May 11, 1947 to Irving and Cecilia (Diedrich) Nordahl in Crosby, MN. The second of three children. Marty spent much of her childhood living on McCarrons Lake in St. Paul and was a 1965 graduate of Alexander Ramsey High School in Roseville. She spent some time at St. Cloud State University before gaining employment with the Social Security Administration as a Claim Representative where she spent her entire career.

John Lee was the love of Marty’s life. They lived in Colorado 15 years in which they were united in marriage on February 8, 1974 in Boulder, Colorado. They then moved to Florida. John passed away in 1995 and it left a void in Marty’s tender heart.

Marty had a passion for genealogy and cherished those she loved. She enjoyed capturing and adding her touch to memories. Marty treasured keeping up with loved ones from afar.

Marty is survived by her son Brent (Dalma) Weigelt of St. Paul, MN; sister Judy Anderson of Winona, MN; brother Rick (Tammy) Nordahl of Grasston, MN; nieces, nephews, and many other family members.

Marty is preceded in death by her husband John; parents Irving and Cecilia Nordahl; and brother-in-law Bruce Anderson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at Swanson Funeral Chapel in Pine City with Pastor John Stiles officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior. Interment will follow at Birchwood Cemetery in Pine City.

Family and friends are welcome to attend.
