Mavis "Kay" Gaul of Spring Lake Park passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Homestead of Anoka at the age of 85.
Mavis Kay Forrey was born March 14, 1940 to Calvin "Boyd" and Hollie (Phelps) Forrey in Mankato, Minnesota.
Kay is survived by her children David Gaul of Spring Lake Park, Judy (Brian) Anderson of Harris, Cheri Gilmore of Minneapolis, Theresa (Greg) Tryman of Coon Rapids; grandchildren Nate (Allison) Tryman, Chris Gilmore, Katie (Corey) Stroad, Joe (Tracy) Anderson; great-grandchildren Ruby Gilmore, Adam Anderson, Lucas Anderson, Peter Anderson; brother Jim Forrey of Bloomington; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Boyd and Hollie Forrey; husband Jerry Gaul; grandson Sam Anderson; great-grandson Matthew Anderson; great-granddaughter Taylor Anderson; many siblings; a niece; a nephew; and many good friends.
A special thank you to Kay's next-door neighbors, Glenn (Clark) and Kathy Linden and their family for the loving care and support given to her throughout their 40 years as neighbors.
Special thanks to the staff at The Homestead at Anoka for their excellent care and kindness shown to our mom and our family at the end of her life.
