Michael Patrick Sander

Michael Sander passed away peacefully surrounded by the caring staff who had become family to him Saturday, August 1, 2026 at the age of 65.

In December of 1995, Michael moved into the Community Living Options (CLO). He was one of the first individuals to make CLO his home shortly after it opened. Over the years he became a beloved part of the CLO family, creating countless memories with those who knew and cared for him.

Michael found in the simple joy things that made his life special. He was a devoted fan of The Beatles, loved 80’s music, enjoyed watching wrestling, and a lifelong batman enthusiast. You could often find him watching Walker, Texas Ranger or General Hospital. One of his favorite daily routines was shredding paper each morning, proudly earning a little money and always taking great pride in his work.

Michael had a personality all his own. He formed strong bonds with the many staff who cared for him, and he wasn’t shy about letting everyone know who his favorites were. His honesty, unique sense of humor together with his expressive personality brought smiles to those around him and made him unforgettable.

Michael will be deeply missed by the CLO staff, and the many friends whose lives he touched during his many years at CLO. His will live on in the stories shared, the laughter he inspired, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
