Mildred "Millie" Elizabeth Osman

Mildred Elizabeth Osman was born on September 9, 1928 to Frank and Anna (Aubrecht) Osman in rural Pine County, Minnesota. Milly was the youngest of four children, following Cecelia, William, and Helen.

Milly worked for a family in Sandstone, Minnesota at an early age, taking care of children, housekeeping and other tasks that were needed.

While attending high school in Pine City, Milly worked for a Judge doing housekeeping and was a witness at many weddings.  She graduated in 1946.

After graduation, Milly sought employment in Minneapolis.  In order to make ends meet, Milly shared a two bedroom apartment with three other friends.  Among the companies she worked for as a secretary/administration positions were Pure Oil, General Mills, Hennepin County and Minikada Country Club, to name a few.

Travel was important to Milly.  As a young lady, she traveled to Cuba in the early 1950’s., to Czechoslovakia to work on family genealogy several times too.  She also traveled to many places throughout the United States.

When Milly retired, she took her interest in genealogy to all the cemeteries in Pine County, recording the buried.

Milly was 95 years of age when she went to join the Lord on December 11, 2023.

She is survived by her niece Anita (Bill) Jones of Nixa, Missouri; great-niece Heather (David) Dirgo of Pine City; great-nephew John (Stacey) Jones of Phoenix, Arizona; cousins Adelaide "Penny" Zastrow of White Bear Lake, Jean Curtis-Nietz of St. Paul; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Anna Osman; brother William Osman; sisters Cecelia (Max) Palmer, Helen Osman; aunts Mary Osman; uncle Anton "Tony" Osman.

Funeral services for Mildred: 11 AM; Tuesday, (12/19) at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Beroun. A time of visitation and reviewal is planned from 5-7 PM Monday (12/18) with a 6:30 PM praying of the rosary and also one hour prior to the service at church. The interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery, Beroun.
