Mitchell "Mitch" Lee Siefert

July 25, 1995 — October 18, 2018

Mitchell “Mitch” Siefert of Rock Creek died at his home Thursday, October 18, 2018 at the age of 23.

Mitchell Lee Siefert was born July 25, 1995 to Dan and Nancy (Anderson) Siefert in Chisago City, Minnesota.

Isaiah 40:31 – but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Mitchell grew up on the farm and loved everything about being a “farm” boy. When he was very young he played in the dirt and ate quite a bit, too. Through the years he spent as much time outdoors as possible doing the things he loved: fishing, hunting, golfing, cattle and crop farming, snowmobiling and four-wheeling and the ARCR show. Mitchell was a big brother to Cody and Matthew. The three of them enjoyed going to dirt track races, fishing, hunting, golfing and watching the Pack play. Mitchell was always by his Dad’s side and he loved it when Mom cooked anything for him, always with a grateful heart.

Mitchell was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church of Harris. He attended K-12 at Rush City Schools. He learned to play the saxophone and guitar, golf and football. After high school, he attended MState in Wadena, MN earning his associates degree as an electrical lineman, working outside no matter what the weather. He worked through the IBEW for Excel Energy, first as groundman and then as operator. His ultimate goal was to work on above ground lines and closer to his home in Rock Creek. Mitchell was a hard worker with good work ethic in everything he did.

Mitchell met and fell in love with Miranda Lindahl the spring of 2017. They were blessed with Jemma Rose on May 26, 2018. Mitchell adored his “Baby Girl” as he called her. We will all share the fond memories of her daddy with her.

Mitchell will be remembered for his fun smile and laughter, love and gentle heart. He has many friends that will so miss him until the day we see him again.

Mitchell is survived by his daughter Jemma Rose Siefert; partner and friend Miranda Lindahl of Rock Creek; parents Dan & Nancy Siefert; brother Cody Siefert; maternal grandparents Duane & Judy Anderson all of Rock Creek; paternal grandparents Roger & Sonja Siefert of Balsam Lake, WI; aunts and uncles Marion Reitan of Pine City, Dale (Amy) Anderson of Rock Creek, Jeanne (John) Philipsen of North Branch, Mike Siefert of Grandy, Patrick Siefert of Embarrass, Mark (Amanda) Siefert of Centuria, WI, Paige Knutson of MI.

He is preceded in death by his brother Matthew Siefert; grandmother Karen Siefert; uncle Brad Anderson; aunt Paula Knutson.
