Nancy Ann Williams

Apr 23, 1965 — Sep 11, 2026

Pine City

Nancy Bothum Williams was born April 23, 1965, in Glenwood, Minnesota, to Larry and Judy Bothum. Nancy passed away peacefully at 4:48 AM on September 11, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her family and her beloved dogs. She passed from complications of breast cancer at 61 years of age. Nancy grew up in Duluth, Minnesota, before moving to Austin at age two, then to Minneapolis, and eventually settling in Bloomington, which served as her childhood family residence. Nancy cherished spending her summers at her family cabins until moving to Pine City in 2000.

After graduating high school in 1983, Nancy joined the U.S. Navy and was stationed in Beeville, Texas, working as an airplane mechanic and had the honor of working on Blue Angel Jets. She was a hard worker who held a variety of roles throughout her lifetime. Over the years, she worked at Lifetouch Photography, as a certified nursing assistant, in clerical work, and as a secretary at Rick’s Auto in Pine City.

Nancy met her husband, Bert Williams, in September 2005. They were married at Our Redeemer Church on October 17, 2009, and continued to make their home on their family hobby farm, where she eventually spent her final days.

Nancy had a passion for travel and was fortunate to explore often with her husband. She loved sitting outside in the sun, crafting, and decorating. Above all else, she cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren. From trips to Paul Bunyan Land and Great Wolf Lodge, to rodeos, horse races, and endless sleepovers at Grandma's house, she treasured every second with them.

Nancy lit up every room she entered—sometimes bright and peachy, other times a total firecracker. Her vibrant personality always had a way of arriving in a room before she even stepped inside.

Nancy will be deeply missed and forever cherished in the hearts of her family and friends.

Nancy is survived by her mother, Judy Bothum; her husband, Bert Williams; her sisters, Cindy (Rick) Stolp and Nicole (Shawn) Casey; her sons, Brandon, Dustin, and Michael Bothum, Nathan (Sammy) Williams, and Dalton (Alexa) Helmbrecht; and her daughters, Charlotte (Joey) Whitcomb and Ashley Williams; 15 grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Brenda (Ivan) Eklund; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Bothum; her grandparents; many aunts and uncles; her father-in-law, Timothy Williams; the father of her daughter, Thomas Baker; her grandsons, Landon and Xavier; and her son, Brian Williams.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the: Funeral and Cremation Service of Pine City, Swanson Chapel.
