Patricia Ruth Sperling

Patricia Sperling (Haug) died peacefully on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at The Shores of Lake Phalen in Maplewood at the age of 93.

Patricia Ruth Sperling was born September 5, 1926 to William and Ruth (Nolan) Sperling in Pine City, Minnesota.  She was raised in Cloverton, MN and lived in Dairyland, WI and Bisbee, AZ before relocating to Minnesota.

Patricia was a lifelong lover of books and she achieved her dream of becoming a nurse.  She treasured her Irish heritage and was able to fulfill a bucket list goal of visiting Ireland on her 70th birthday.  Patricia lived a fulfilling life.  She loved her family, friends and caregivers at The Shores of Lake Phalen.  She will be missed.

Patricia is survived by her children Linda (Dick) McIvor, Kathleen "Kate" (Mike) Blochinger, Jeff (Sherry) Haug; sister Virginia Hills; brother Mike Sperling; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents William and Ruth Sperling; son Daniel Haug; brothers Tom Sperling and Dale Sperling; sisters Marge Armstrong and Shirley Carlson.

Monsignor Aleksander Suchan will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial for Patricia: 10:30 AM; Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Pine City.  A time of visitation and reviewal is planned for one hour prior to the Mass in the St. Anthony Commons Area at the church.  The interment will take place at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Pine City.
