Rachael Stoffel of Pine City passed away unexpectedly December 12, 2025 at her home in Pine City at the age of 91.
Rachael Etta Pierce was born January 28, 1934, the sixth child born to Manfred and Edna (Franklin) Pierce in Geneva, Minnesota.
Rachael worked in the banking industry for many years until she retired to marry her husband, Edwin (John) Stoffel of Pine City.
She enjoyed watching MN Twins games on TV. She enjoyed gardening and doing crossword puzzles. She volunteered at the Lakeside Nursing Home with their day activities program. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church.
Rachael is survived by her husband of 40 years, Ed Stoffel; sisters-in-law Marion Pierce, Rosemary Schultz; brothers-in-law Vincent Pixley, Edward Dion; special friends Gary and Denise Anderson; niece Lorraine Victor; nephews William (Patricia) Drimel, George (Terri) Drimel; many nieces and nephews and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Manfred and Edna Pierce; brothers Rueben Pierce, Franklin Pierce, Donald Pierce, Clarence Pierce, Harold Pierce, Mikel Pierce; sisters Sylvia Jordan and Phyllis Drimel.
Fr. Thomas Galarneault will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial for Rachael: 11 AM; Friday (12/19) at Immaculate Conception Church of Pine City with a time of visitation and reviewal one hour prior to the Mass in the St. Anthony Commons area of the church. There will also be a visitation and reviewal planned from 5:00-8:00 PM; Thursday evening (12/18) with a Prayer Service at 7:30 PM at the Swanson Funeral Chapel of Pine City.
Interment will take place at Calvary Catholic Cemetery of Pine City.
