Raymond Clark Mead

Raymond Mead passed away very unexpectedly at his home in Pine City Wednesday, October 17, 2017 at the young age of 54.Raymond Clark Mead was born to Willis and Sylvia (Olsen) Mead on May 19, 1963 in St. Paul, Minnesota. After graduation from Pine City High School he attended Pine Technical & Community College and completed the Automotive & Technology program.  While taking college courses he worked at Plastech Corporation in Rush City.  After graduation from college he stayed on with Plastech for nearly thirty years working as Shift Supervisor.  At the time of his death he worked as a custodian for the Pine City School System.Ray had many interests; he enjoyed raising beef cattle, chickens, hogs, and taking care of his horses, donkey, and various household pets.  His favorite pastimes included; deer hunting, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his beloved daughter, Hannah.  He and Hannah enjoyed horseback riding, 4-wheeling, and bike riding together.  Together they loved going to auctions and taking trips to Duluth to see the ships and have fun along Canal Park.  Ray was known to be a loyal and honest friend, good to his neighbors and community, and a devoted and loving father.  He will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched.Ray is survived by his daughter Hannah Mead of Minneapolis; sister Joan Lindman of Henriette; brother Clark Mead of North Branch; ex-wife Heather (Karen) Hansen; aunts Arlene Wiberg and Vivien (Wally) Seth; uncles Loren Mead, Virgil (Lee) Olsen and Douglas (Dorothy) Olsen; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Ray is preceded in death by his parents Willis and Sylvia Mead.Reverend Fred Hanson will officiate at Funeral services for Ray:  4 PM on Friday, November 3, 2017 with a time of visitation two hours prior to the service all at Swanson Funeral Chapel.  The interment will take place at a later time at Hustletown Union Cemetery, Chengwatana Township, Pine City, Minnesota.Funeral arrangements are entrusted to:  Funeral and Cremation Service ~ Swanson Chapel of Pine City, Minnesota.   www.FuneralAndCremationService.com
