Ruth Elinor Paulson

Ruth Paulson, formerly of Rush City, was peacefully ushered into heaven in the afternoon of Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at Auburn Manor of Chaska at the age of 94, just eight days shy of her 95th birthday. She will spend her eternity with Jesus and family who went before her.

Ruth Elinor (Furzland) Paulson was born June 26, 1930 to Arthur and Mabel (Peters) Furzland in Minneapolis. It was also in Minneapolis that she met and married Jack Paulson in 1949. They were married 71 years. They were long-time residents of Minneapolis and Rush City, and members of the Rush City Baptist Church for many years.

Ruth is survived by her two children; nine grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two of her children.

Pastor Dave Melin will officiate funeral services for Ruth: 10:30 AM; Thursday, June 26, 2025 with a time of visitation and reviewal planned for one hour prior to the service, all at the Olson Funeral Chapel of Rush City. Ruth will be interred at First Lutheran Cemetery of Rush City.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts will be directed to the Ukrainian Ministries of Rush City Baptist Church and its sister church Rakovka Evangelical Church.
