Thomas "Tom" Tyson passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at his home in Albertville at the age of 77.
Thomas Terry Tyson was born August 15, 1949 to Robert Sr. and Shirley (Wood) Tyson in Plainview, Minnesota.
Tom, lovingly known as "Pops" and "Gramps," was a proud Vietnam Veteran and spent many years working in building maintenance. He was known for his kind heart, friendly personality, and the genuine connections he made with everyone he met. More than anything, Tom loved spending time with his family and friends. Whether it was a family gathering, sharing stories with loved ones, or enjoying a meal together, he treasured every moment spent with the people he cared about most.
One of Tom's favorite daily traditions was having breakfast at Linda's Cafe, where he enjoyed good food, great conversation, and the friendships he built over the years. He was a familiar face there and looked forward to seeing his friends each morning.
Tom's greatest joy in life was his family, especially his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly and was incredibly proud of. His strength, sense of humor, loyalty, and love for those around him will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him.
Tom is survived by his children, Melaina Nadeau and Tony Schreiner; grandchildren, Tanner Schreiner, Emily Schreiner, Alex Nadeau, Sidney Schreiner (fiancé Mason Jensen), Jackson Nadeau, and Jada Schreiner; great-granddaughter, Eden Schreiner; sisters, Marion Bell, Wendy Le Swenson, and Christine Rubio; brothers, Richard (Kim) Tyson, William (Cindy) Tyson, and James (Kellye) Tyson; sister-in-law Gail Tiedeken; and many other beloved family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Sr. and Shirley Tyson; his beloved wife, LuAnn Tyson, who passed away on March 25, 2024; brother Dennis Tyson.
