Viola Edith Kubesh Johnson

Viola (Kubesh) Johnson long time resident of Beroun and Pine City passed away Monday, January 22, 2018 at Country Terrace Assisted Living in Stanley, Wisconsin at the age of 101.

Viola Edith Karas was born on August 13, 1916 to John and Anna (Spinler) Karas in Pine City, Minnesota.

Viola is survived by her son Archie (Joyce) Kubesh of Boyd, Wisconsin; daughter Sharlene (Ronald) Hanson of Brook Park; daughter-in-law Joanne Kubesh of Pine City; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Viola is preceded in death by her husbands Frank Kubesh and Herbert Johnson; son Eugene Kubesh; grandson Kevin Kubesh; parents John and Anna Karas; brothers Elmer (Cecelia) Karas, Tom (Winnie) Karas, Leslie (Florence) Karas; sister Frances Gulbranson.

Monsignor Aleksander Suchan will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial for Viola:  1:00 PM Tuesday (1/30) at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Beroun.  A time of visitation and reviewal is planned Tuesday morning 10:00 AM - 12:00 Noon at the Swanson Funeral Chapel, Pine City.  The interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Calvary Cemetery in Beroun.
