Wanda Glee Erickson

Wanda Erickson passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at Ecumen of North Branch at the age of 91.

Wanda Glee Booth was born January 13, 1928 to Harold and Leona (Else) Booth in Fairmont, Minnesota.

Wanda grew up in Fairmont until moving with her parents to rural Rock Creek when she was 11 years old. She was a 1946 graduate of Rush City High School.

On May 18, 1952, Wanda married Lawrence Erickson. From this union, three children were born: Ellen, Gary and Todd. Wanda and Larry raised their family in the twin city area until moving to Rush City in 1967. Wanda was an active volunteer in the schools, scouts and church.

When Wanda’s daughter Ellen enrolled at the Anoka-Ramsey Community College in Cambridge, she decided to enroll also. They both received an A.A. degree in 1983.

After the children were grown, Wanda did daycare in her home for many years. In November of 2015, Wanda became a resident of Ecumen, North Branch.

Wanda is survived by her daughter Ellen Grams (Jonathan Weikert) of Superior, Wisconsin; son Todd Erickson of Taylors Falls; grandchildren: Rob (Gina) Grams of Braham and Rick (Holly) Grams of North Branch; great-grandchildren: McKenna, Brock, Braden, Hudson and Hugo Grams; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Ronald Erickson of Rush City, Robert (Janice) Erickson of Deerwood, Delores Erickson of Aitkin and Barbara Erickson of St. Louis Park; nephews Dean (Deb) Booth of Port Orchard, WA and Don Booth of Chaska.

She is preceded in death by her parents Harold and Leona Booth; husband Lawrence Erickson; son Gary Erickson; brother Bob Booth.

Reverend Nathan Baker-Trinity will officiate at funeral services for Wanda: 11 AM; Monday, October 14, 2019 at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Rush City. A time of visitation and reviewal is planned from 5-7 PM Sunday (10/13) at the Olson Funeral Chapel in Rush City and also one hour prior to the service at the church. The interment will take place at the First Lutheran Cemetery in Rush City.
